Who is Belva's Attic

If it isn't already obvious, thrifting is a humongous joy of ours. From the time I was a child my family would take me to flea markets of all sizes and through several states teaching me how to get the best deals on the best finds. As I grew up, this tradition continued through my brother Landon, and now to my future husband Jacob. All of us (from each of my grandparents, cousins, aunts & uncles, friends and more) share this love of treasure hunting together, and by this point I'd confidently say each of us have found at least a couple of items you've seen listed on Belva's Attic.

When I moved from Kentucky to Florida my space was greatly reduced, resulting in a lack of space to display and store my finds. Although I had less room, the thrift finds were still coming. Sometimes I'd even find things that didn't exactly fit my collection, but I knew had potential for someone else's. After putting back these gems for far too long, I decided it was time to rehome them, and that is where Belva's Attic was born. I knew we had the resources, time, and love for the craft to make something special in this community.

It was my birthday (October 13th) in 2020 when I hatched the idea for Belva's Attic. I knew we could create a platform for vintage lovers to come together and help us rehome the best finds from all over the east coast (so far we've sold items from Kentucky, Ohio, West Virginia, and Florida). Through this page we've been connected to so many other vintage lovers, and found so much joy through creating this brand. Jacob has been able to use his graphic design and camera skills to help weave our aesthetic together, my family has supported through searching for gems alongside us and liking every post, and all of you have kept us going and helped uplift our dreams into becoming a reality.

As Belva's Attic nears it's one year anniversary, I want to give a genuine thank you to each of you who has helped us along our mission. Through donating to nonprofits, getting to travel doing what we love, and helping us use our passions for good, you each have helped us grow happier over this past year. So thank you, whether you've purchased or supported through likes and shares, you are appreciated. We have so much more to offer you all, and this year has just been the start!
