I’m Summer, twenty-three years old, and live in Orlando, Florida. Although this project has taken many attempts to get right, Belva's Attic is something I have worked hard to form and am proud to present. Belva's Attic started out of several passions such as thrifting, furthering education, creative outlet exploration, sustainability, minimalism, and a love for media. Combining all of these things in such a unique way was challenging, but I couldn't be more content with our efforts and results.

All proceeds from sales made go to well researched organizations and toward the continuation of Belva's Attic. Because of this, each purchase you make goes directly toward the organization we are supporting for the month which can be found here. With each month's collection wrap-up, we post the total proceeds donated so you can directly see what you are contributing toward!

The name Belva's Attic comes from my great grandma, Belva Boggs, or "Nanny Belvie". My great grandma was a simple, but strong willed woman. I have always aspired to be headstrong, independent, and tactful like her. She was passionate about home keeping, sewing and quilt-work, and raising her daughter (my grandma) and granddaughters (my mom and aunt). I've always felt such a special connection to her and have been compared to her my entire life although I never got to meet her here on earth. Half of my childhood was spent in her very house, and more importantly in her upstairs attic. The name Belva's Attic came naturally and felt right from it's conception.

All items found here are either handmade by yours truly, thrifted, or purchased second-hand in either Florida (my second home) or Kentucky (my first home).

I live my life in such a way that each possession I own has a special meaning

and purpose in my home, and I hope the same will be true for each purchase

made here.

  • We purchase locally when possible and from small shops when we can! By driving to local shops for supplies, we reduce the carbon emissions otherwise used in shipping products to us. For any supplies we must have shipped, we offset the carbon emissions using Terrapass.

  • We transparently post proof of all contributions given to organizations we back with each month’s proceeds list easily accessible.

  • We believe that science and education are two of our strongest tools, and we use them actively through all of our brand’s choices.

  • We research all brands we support and donate to, and do not support brands who treat their employees poorly, offer unfair living wages, have unhealthy work environments, or participate in unethical practices.

  • We use 100% compostable packaging, so whether you have accessibility to recycle it or not, it will break down wherever it goes!
